In a bid to ease the burden of transportation costs for Nigerians during the festive season, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a significant reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol.
The price has been slashed by 11.8%, bringing it down to N939.50 per litre from the previous N1,060 per litre.
Some fuel stations in Lagos have already reflected the new pricing as of this morning, December 20.
Announcing the price cut on Thursday, December 19, the Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting Nigerians during the holidays.
“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS,” Chiejina stated.
“From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM).
Furthermore, for every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.”
