Cardi B found herself at the center of pregnancy speculation again after stepping out of court on September 2nd, but what should have been routine courthouse coverage quickly turned into a heated confrontation.
The rapper was dealing with a $24 million lawsuit from her former bodyguard when she was spotted leaving the building with what appeared to be a baby bump.
She had just stopped to sign an autograph for a fan when a reporter decided to ask an incredibly personal question.
The reporter brought up rumors that her estranged husband Offset was supposedly bragging about getting her pregnant for a fourth time, then crossed a line by asking about possible “paternity issues” involving NFL player Stefon Diggs, whom she’s been rumored to be seeing.
Cardi’s reaction was immediate and fierce. She threw her pen at the reporter and let him know exactly how she felt about his approach.
“Stop disrespecting me. Do not disrespect me,” she snapped.
When the reporter tried to smooth things over by saying he still loved her despite her reaction, Cardi wasn’t having any of it. She launched into him about basic respect and manners.
“I don’t care. You’re disrespectful, don’t do that,” she fired back. “Do you see women asking those type of questions to me?
Why do you feel, as a man, you get to ask me those type of questions? Act like you have some manners. And your mama taught you: respect women.”
The pregnancy rumors started building steam last week when Cardi was photographed leaving court on August 28th in an oversized suit, appearing to hold her stomach and leaning on her bodyguard for support as she headed to her car.
