The outrage deepened after a Twitter user, @mercyinfull, tweeted on a post that was displaying photos of the couple, stating that any such relationship would get a therapist their license revoked in countries like the U.S. “Therapist and client romantic relationship is the fastest way to get your license revoked,” tweeted the user, praising Blessing’s looks.
In reply, Blessing shook off the criticism as ignorance, claiming that most people marry their clients. “You are just ignorant,” she said. “Many people who are married today married their client… because you slept with your own and it did not lead to marriage doesn’t make it a law.”
Her words elicited mixed reactions online some defended her position, while others criticized the professional boundaries set by licensed therapists.
