Biuda, an educational technology company, has unveiled the Biuda Scholarship Programme (BSP) to train and equip over 200 Nigerian children with essential technology skills, preparing them for success in the digital world. Sponsored by UK-based Nigerian entrepreneur Arinze Nwokolo, the initiative aims to provide free computer training and foundational tech education to young learners.
Elijah Adesina, Biuda’s Chief Marketing Officer, stated that the program is open to children within the designated age range, with a transparent selection process to ensure smooth implementation. The training, scheduled for January to March 2025, will be conducted virtually to accommodate students’ academic schedules while enhancing their creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
BSP’s CEO, Patrick Chukwu, emphasized that the program will offer hands-on learning experiences in computing, digital literacy, and essential tech skills. Chukwu highlighted that the initiative seeks not only to teach children how to use technology but also to inspire a passion for creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning, positioning them for future opportunities in the tech-driven world.
