Former Big Brother Naija star Kiddwaya has stirred up social media after expressing his willingness to contribute a whopping $2 million (approximately N3 billion) to Tristan Tate’s ambitious plan to purchase an island and create a new country for British millionaires.
Tristan, the brother of popular American influencer Andrew Tate, had earlier shared his vision on X (formerly Twitter), seeking 250 British millionaires to each invest $2 million to buy the island and establish a British colony based on 1960s UK common law.
Tristan tweeted, “I need 250 British millionaires. Let’s throw in $2 million each and buy an island and set up a British colony for our friends and family based on UK common law of the 1960s.”
In a surprising move, Kiddwaya responded by tweeting, “I’m in,” signaling his interest in joining the project.
The announcement quickly went viral, sparking a mix of reactions from fans and followers. Some questioned Kiddwaya’s motives, with @sanitydeee commenting, “This Kiddwaya dey always want validation say em Rich.”
Others expressed skepticism about the project’s legitimacy, with @wacomzeeoflagos joking, “When the money complete, one person go carry am gbeja.”
Some users criticized Kiddwaya for not investing the money in Nigeria, like @misschidel, who said, “So what happened to using that money to build here in Nigeria and create employment for his people, eh?”
