Attendance is Taken Using a Fingerprint Scanner by the Instructor

A lecturer has gone above and beyond by using a biometric scanner to take attendance in order to prevent absent students from writing their names. After the video went viral, the lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT, was praised for using a fingerprint scanner to monitor student attendance.

The instructor used the fingerprint scanner to keep accurate records of each student and prevent petty fraud. The video depicts the lecturer walking around the classroom and distributing biometric scanners to students. Those who viewed the video opined that the instructor did the proper thing, as some students are notorious for registering absent peers.

Others, however, believe that some students will find a way to circumvent the instructor’s novel concept.
