Al-Nassr manager, Stefano Pioli is on the brink of being sacked from the club following his scandalous relationship with football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo. Al-Nassr are third-placed in the Saudi Pro League table and 10 points behind league leaders Al-Ittihad, having suffered a run of only two league victories in their last five games.
SportItalia states that Pioli is on the cusp of leaving the club after the fiery romance with Al-Nassr’s star man, Ronaldo. Should Pioli be axed, it is understood Roma are waiting in the wings to sign Pioli, who guided AC Milan to the Serie A title in 2022 -with Claudio Ranieri allegedly to leave the Giallorossi at the end of the season.
It was gathered that Ronaldo and Pioli had disagreements starting after the manager’s decision to substitute the all-time great striker in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 win against Al Kholood two weeks ago. Ronaldo had scored the first goal after four minutes before his side proceeded to establish a 3-0 lead.
Pioli went ahead and substituted Ronaldo, which caught the surprise of the striker, as Al-Nassr eased towards the final whistle. Pioli was appointed at the Saudi club in September 2024 after Luis Castro was sacked.
