Nigerian artist Adekunle Kosoko, widely known as Adekunle Gold or AG Baby, has marked a significant milestone in his music career, celebrating a decade in the industry.
In a heartfelt statement released on Thursday, Adekunle Gold shared his reflections on the journey that has brought him to this point, describing it as one of unwavering faith, growth, and determination.
He took a moment to encourage young people, urging them not to give up on their dreams, no matter where they start or with what resources they have. Gold recounted how he found himself at a very low point in life when he decided to pursue music, a choice that ultimately transformed his life.
The musician, best known for his hit song “Sade,” revealed that the track was written during one of the most challenging periods of his life. In 2014, after losing his job and feeling uncertain about his future, he made the bold decision to give everything to his music career. Looking back, he credits that pivotal moment with changing the course of his life for the better.
Adekunle Gold’s message was clear: “If you have a dream, believe in it. Work for it. Start small, start scared, but just start. Don’t let fear stop you. Keep growing, keep trying, and keep believing. Your journey is yours to own. Do it afraid, and do it with all your heart.”
