Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde advised women against the idea of receiving their men’s money or insisting that men date only them if they are rich, describing such as unrealistic in today’s economy.
Osunde questioned why most women cling to hopes of marrying wealthy husbands instead of striving towards creating their own financial independence. She stressed that it cannot be possible for every woman to be a rich housewife as “there are not enough billionaires to go around.”.
Empowering women to work towards their own success, the actress called upon them to shed the idea of depending on a man’s riches and working for their own success.
She wrote in her X account:
“Work his ass off for money. Wetin do your own ass? You don’t want to work? In this economy? It’s like some of you think we’re still living in Bible times. My good sis, there’s not enough billionaires in the world for all of us to be housewives. You better go and look for work.”
