Mythical Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, also referred to as 2Baba or 2Face, has reportedly performed an underground traditional wedding to his bride, Natasha Osawaru. The ceremony took place on July 25 and was attended by intimate family and friends before it went viral on the internet.
According to Gistreel reports, photos and videos of the exclusive party ended up on the internet on Thursday, triggering a barrage of varied responses from commentators and fans within the entertainment industry.
One of the popular videos shows the couple kneeling before an elder as they offer genuine prayers and blessings for their union. The elder prayed: “The good Lord will preserve and keep safe this marriage. It will be like sugar, honey, and salt. Just as no one knows how water goes into coconut, no one will understand the secret behind this marriage.”
Referring to 2Baba’s previous marriages, the older man continued: “We know you, you’ve been marrying and marrying, but today this marriage has come to stay for favour, good health, good love, and others. Anyone trying to break this marriage will be parted.”
The musician, who is by many considered Nigeria’s most iconic music legend, still has to formally announce the ceremony on his social media pages. The ceremony, however, has generated a lot of buzz, with congratulatory messages sent by fans while others raise questions concerning the nature and scope of the new marriage.
