EeZee Conceptz founder, Ezekiel “EeZee T” Onyedikachukwu, has expressed his intention to reconcile with gospel singer Mercy Chinwo-Blessed after their public dispute regarding a supposed contract breach. He shared his desire to resolve the issue privately and is working to bring in unbiased professionals who can help clarify the situation by reviewing all pertinent documents. In an Instagram video, EeZee T revealed that he had been invited by Dr. Stephen Akintayo, a respected investment coach and Chairman of Gtext Holdings, to discuss the matter. Dr. Akintayo noted that the conflict between Mercy Chinwo and EeZee T could offer important lessons to other gospel ministers and record labels to avoid similar issues in the future. The meeting, which is set to include Mercy and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, will also feature lawyers well-versed in copyright law and auditors to review both sides of the story. Dr. Akintayo further suggested that EeZee T should refrain from engaging in any more online drama for the next 30 days to allow for a more peaceful resolution, with love and mercy taking priority. The situation has sparked a variety of reactions online, with many expressing concern for Mercy Chinwo. Some fans have suggested that while reconciliation is important, Mercy should not continue to work with EeZee T, while others commented on the timing of his desire for peace following Mercy’s public statements. Comments from followers: @empressincrease: “He knows it will be easy for him to manipulate things settling out of court. I honestly feel like they should allow the EFCC to continue with this case. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come under fire from Nigerians after expressing sympathy for the victims of a recent plane crash in Washington, D.C. Many citizens have voiced their anger online, accusing the President of showing false empathy toward the United States, while failing to acknowledge similar tragedies within Nigeria. The criticism stemmed from a statement Tinubu made on Thursday, where he expressed condolences to the U.S. government and the families of the victims involved in the crash. In his message, the President said: “I am deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Washington, D.C. On behalf of Nigeria, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of the United States, and all affected by this profound loss. I commend the courageous efforts of first responders and emergency teams for their selfless work in harsh conditions. Nigeria stands in solidarity with the United States Government and its People, united in grief and hopeful for a new day.” However, many Nigerians have criticized the President for prioritizing sympathy for a foreign tragedy while neglecting to address the loss of lives within Nigeria. They pointed out that the country has witnessed numerous incidents, such as bombings, explosions, and terrorist attacks, but has received little to no acknowledgment from the President. Social media users did not hold back in their responses: @UchePOkoye wrote, “Very irresponsible president, all the lives we have lost in this country you haven’t made any tweet about it. A very irresponsible President.” @thewahalaboy said, “17 Nigerian soldiers were killed by terrorists in the northern part of the country a few days ago. No condolence message.” @odogwu_ogidi stated, “This is utterly stupid and completely ridiculous. You never showed concerns for the lives lost in Nigeria, but here you are doing an eye service to the US — perhaps to avoid being exposed. You’re such a shame and a disgrace to the black race. Spits!” @Morris_Monye wrote, “Sir, there was a tanker explosion in Enugu state. The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has announced an increase in the monthly allowance for corps members to ₦77,000, with the new payments set to begin in February 2025. This follows approval from the Federal Government. Speaking to the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina, Ahmed shared the exciting news and added that, in a move to ensure their safety, corps members will no longer be posted to communities with ongoing security threats. He reassured the corps members that their safety and welfare continue to be a top priority for the NYSC, with the revised allowance being part of the 2025 Federal Government budget. Once the budget is finalized and approved, the new allowance will be implemented. “We will not send our corps members to wherever we have security challenges and threats. Wherever we send them, they should be assured that the place is safe and secure for them to serve,” Ahmed stated. He confirmed that although January has ended, corps members will begin receiving the increased allowance of ₦77,000 starting next month, February, instead of the previous ₦33,000. The NYSC DG further emphasized that the corps members should show appreciation for this gesture from the government by giving their best during their service year. Additionally, he assured the corps members that the NYSC will take steps to ensure they are deployed only to secure and safe locations during their service year. The United States has broken a 16-year streak of no fatal air accidents following a deadly midair collision between an American Airlines jet and a military Black Hawk helicopter near Washington D.C. on Wednesday night. The crash claimed the lives of 64 people aboard the American Airlines flight and three military crew members. This marked the first fatal commercial airplane crash in the US since 2009. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but experts are concerned about the increasing strain on the US air travel system, particularly due to a long-standing shortage of air traffic controllers, even as efforts to increase hiring have been made. With rising congestion in major metropolitan airspace, especially around Washington D.C., the incident highlights the growing risks in the nation’s skies. Aviation safety expert Anthony Brickhouse expressed his concerns, saying, “In the last two to three years, we’ve had so many close calls with commercial planes having near collisions in and near airport environments. If changes aren’t made, you eventually meet with tragedy.” In response to the incident, newly appointed Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy called the collision “absolutely preventable.” During a press conference, Duffy explained that the flight paths of both the American Airlines flight and the military helicopter were not unusual for the D.C. airspace at the time. However, he stressed that “it is not standard to have aircraft collide.” Despite the routine nature of their flight paths, Duffy said the crash could have been avoided. Former President Donald Trump quickly weighed in, questioning why the air traffic control tower didn’t take action to prevent the collision, given the clear weather conditions and the visibility of the plane. On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn?” He also suggested that the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies were to blame for the crash, a statement he later expanded upon during a press conference, where he reiterated that “common sense” led him to this conclusion, though no official cause had been determined yet. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expressed condolences and acknowledged that “a mistake was made” during the operation, but he assured that the incident would be thoroughly investigated. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is now leading the investigation, with Chair Jennifer Homendy stressing that they are committed to uncovering the full facts behind the tragedy. Homendy revealed that 50 NTSB investigators have been deployed to examine the two aircraft involved, looking at mechanical issues and the potential role of human error. The NTSB aims to have a preliminary report within 30 days, and they plan to brief the families of the victims later on Thursday. “We will find out what happened,” said NTSB board member Todd Inman. “We will do it factually and accurately.” Related Posts Market offers rent-now, pay-later answer to tenants.
